PAUL GOMORY
Paul Gomory has been a retained executive recruiter since 1980, and worked earlier in corporate finance, government and consulting. He graduated from Stanford Business School and Amherst College, and attended the Graduate School of International Studies in Geneva. He is a Limited Partner in a number of U.S. and international venture capital funds, and he serves on the Advisory Boards of Vaience and Lenos Software.
Mr. Gomory founded his own search practice in 1988 to execute retained CEO and Vice President searches for smaller technology companies - with the highest level of personal attention, commitment, and responsiveness. He conducts no more than three or four search projects at one time.
During 1986-1987, Mr. Gomory was Vice President of a premier Silicon Valley search firm for emerging technology companies. From 1980 to 1985, Mr. Gomory was with Korn/Ferry International, and was a Partner in the San Francisco office serving technology companies.
Earlier, Mr. Gomory was Corporate Finance Associate with Weiss, Peck & Greer; served on the White House Staff; and worked for Private Investment Company for Asia (Singapore) and the IMF.
Mr. Gomory is Vice Chair of That Man May See, the vision research foundation at University of California/San Francisco. He has been Trustee of Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, and Chairman of San Francisco Dance Theater.
Mr. Gomory is a dual citizen (USA/France) and is fluent in French. He is a member of the Cercle de l'Union Interalliée (Paris) and of the
St. Francis Yacht Club (San Francisco).
